Festival must haves! πŸ–€

Well seen as I go to Creamfields on Friday morning, which I am SO excited about. I thought I would tell you what I feel must go with you to a festival! There’s quite a few festivals which happen on the August bank holiday weekend.

Your first hardest choice of the weekend.. picking those cute outfits in advance! I don’t know if it’s just me but sometimes I like to choose my outfits on the day.. so going away for me is a nightmare! I want to pack everything ‘just incase’. However for a festival you want to pack as little as possible.. that walk from the car to the queue, from the queue to the campsite whilst carrying loads of stuff.. not ideal! I’m pretty sure I’m almost in tears every time! But I still can’t seem to pack any less! This year I am really trying! You can’t go wrong with denim shorts and a few tops so you can choose.. I’m also going for a few netted dresses this year! I also ALWAYS take a big hoodie and a onesie with me. It can get quite chilly early hours of the morning back at the campsite so I try to get as cosy as possible.

The next thing going in my bag is GLITTER! Glitter, glitter and more glitter! I am such a glitter fairy. I just love the stuff! I actually can’t wait to throw glitter all over myself. I have glitter and face pieces from Gypsy Shrine! They are the ultimate festival queens. There stuff is just amazing. So much choice too, you can definitely find something to match all your outfits!!

Make sure you take plenty of baby wipes and dry shampoo! These things may just become your best friend over the weekend! Although there are showers at the festival.. I find by the time you have queued for hours, you sometimes get in there and the showers and dirtier than having a bath in the big mud puddle which is always outside them too! Plus I just never feel like rocking the extra frizzy look seen as I can’t blow dry my hair! I already have the rain to usually help me with that look. You also might want to take some tissue, you can almost guarantee after a few hours of being their the toilets will have ran out!

Obviously, don’t forget your standard camping gear! Tent, sleeping bag, pillow and I always take a camping chair too. There’s nothing worse than hanging out with your friends at the campsite and having nowhere to sit. The floor just doesn’t cut it when you spend a lot of time at the campsite as well! Make sure your tent is waterproof.. don’t forget your going to a festival in England, there’s a 99.9% chance of rain. I know some people want to try get one as cheap as possible seen as it’s probably getting left and never used again! But personally I would much rather pay that little bit extra to make sure I’m not going to wake up soaking wet from the rain. It’s not pleasant!

Snacks… never ever forget the snacks! I know some people are quite happy not eating all weekend, that’s not for me! I always want food at some point in the weekend, so I always take a multipack of crisps and a few other bits. Obviously you can get food whilst there (I still do that too) but 1. It’s always so over priced, and 2. Sometimes you can’t be bothered to walk that far! So it’s so much easier to grab a snack until your heading in he direction of food.

Also don’t forget your wellies! No matter what the weather has been like leading up to it, A LOT of people are dragging and stomping through mud! You can guarantee it’s going to be messy! And going back to my earlier comment, there’s a 99.9% chance of rain!

Most of all, stay safe and have funnnnn! πŸ–€

I am not a camper but festivals are one of my favourite things to do in the summer. The atmosphere, the music, friends, laughter and memories!
