Rush Hill Barn 🖤

As some of you may know if you follow me on Instagram, the other week we went on our first mini break away as a family.

The place we stayed had an AMAZING response from my followers when I posted on my stories. So I have decided to do a blog post reviewing it all so I can give you all the details!

We were supposed to go abroad this year but due to personal reasons this didn’t happen. We still kept our time off together as it had been forever since me and Sam were off together. We chose to book a little UK break from Monday to Friday instead.

We came across a little hidden gem called Rush Hill Barn. We booked it very last minute, and got a bit of a bargain. I looked on the website and it looked lovely, just what we needed to escape for a bit of family time.

As we were getting closer we were driving into the country side. When I say it was a hidden gem, I meant it. Our Satnav took a little while to find it. The lady we booked through though was lovely and was waiting at the gate for us when I said we were a little lost.

We pulled into a lovely little farm, and in front of us was a lovely barn conversion. It had its own little yard and gates to keep it all contained so Freddie would run around and play. There was also a hot tub, bbq, darts and table and chairs. Perfect little space for summer.

As we went into the place we were staying, we were blown away. It was truly gorgeous!! We were shown around and shown how to use things. There was 3 big double bedrooms.. all with en suits!! 2 living rooms, kitchen, dining room, utility room, and a downstairs toilet. It was so spacious! It was decorated lovely and was made to feel like home. There was blankets dotted around the space, stuff for showers and baths and cleaning products.

We also got a few personal touches. This place went above and beyond for their guests and we cannot thank them enough. As we walked through she had put baby gates on for Freddie, children’s books, and she also set up some toys for Freddie to use. He ran over and made himself at home playing. There was a chocolate cake for us, and also a bottle of Prosecco for me and Sam to enjoy. As it was on a working farm, there was also some fresh eggs for us to use. It’s little things like this that make the difference to your stay. It was such a lovely warm welcoming.

During our stay here Freddie was able to go and see the animals on the farm. By the end of the trip he was obsessed with horses! The location of the barn meant that we could see them riding their horses on a morning. Freddie used to stand and watch them, then as they left say ‘bye bye horsey, see you later.’ The lady even said if we come back Freddie might be old enough to go and ride in one of the tractors!

We spent most of our days out and about and exploring. Even though it was in the country side, we were not short of things to do! We were around 30 minutes away from lots of things to do in Lincoln. We took Freddie to a farm which had a bit outdoor play area, and also a wildlife park. We even visited the nearest beach.

We hit luck with the weather on our stay. It was absolutely amazing, and at times felt like you were abroad! It made the trip so much more amazing.

It was a venue with enough for everyone to enjoy. Once Freddie was in bed me and Sam were able to relax in the hot tub, and enjoy some time together, before going to chill out in front of the TV and watch some junk!

I cannot recommend this place enough if your looking for a quiet getaway, but still lots to do! It was clean tidy, and I honestly have no complaints at all. We will definitely be visiting again. As we were leaving they also told us about other things they are hoping to add. It sounds like it’s only going to get better!

I will leave the links for their website and Facebook pages for you all so you can have a look.
